In the era of AI, technology hype fiasco going, we need translator more than ever who can clearly describe what technology mean. Many tech people cannot and will not explain well enough non-tech people to understand.
I don’t know whether tech people are doing that on purpose or not, such action makes people less trusting towards tech people or blindly follow whatever they say.
In any case, I, myself call a translator of technology and culture time to time, those who can use words and languages wisely are needed more and more. And such people sometimes called as “generalists”, and quite often seen as “useless because they are not specialists”, yet such generalists who can translate between technologies, cultures, industries as such are so much needed because AI is not specifically applicable to specific technology, culture or society, but influence to the society as a whole.
